wretched Redemption

"Starting again can leave a few fingerprints from the life you’re leaving. Chris, who records as wretched Redemption, presents “Something New” as the title track of an album about turning the page and setting down old weight. He describes driving guitars opening into a broad chorus, with hope sharing space with a rawer feeling. That combination suits the subject: a fresh start can be welcome without feeling effortless. My reading of the song’s stated intention is that renewal begins while the past is still close enough to recognise, rather than after every doubt has disappeared."
