Episode 76 : The Mic Is Back!

The microphone is back! And with it, my voice, a few stories between tracks, and, as you’ll discover, my occasionally questionable grasp of geography.

We open with Rainburn, whose Indian progressive rock gives this episode an intense start. The kind of opening that makes you stop whatever else you’re doing and pay attention. A proper way to kick things off.

From India, we travel through the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Ireland, and France/Germany, before landing in Canada for the finale. That’s one of the things I love about putting this show together: artists working thousands of kilometres apart get to share the same little space for a while. And we get to listen.

Our final stop is LIVA, with O Roma Nobilis. Now, somewhere between reading that title and opening my newly restored microphone, I managed to introduce them as Italian.

They’re Canadian.

Rho la la.

My apologies to LIVA! Apparently, the microphone came back before my internal fact-checker did. Let this post put the pin back in the right place on the map: Canada.

It’s good to be speaking to you again, even when the words need a correction afterwards. And it’s good to have another episode full of independent music to share.

Thanks for listening, for following these artists, and for giving unfamiliar names a chance. If something catches your ear this week, go a little further: explore their releases, follow them, or send them a message.

And let them know they can submit on https://submit.mitxoda.be – just to make sure they appear on my Indie Top 100 list and many other emails and salons!!

See you next Friday,

Love on you,

Mitxoda
