I made a game.
Because apparently, creating newsletters, radio shows, playlists, websites and a whole indie universe wasn’t enough 🙂
So here we are.
Meet Soundcheck – the daily indie word game by Mitxoda.
Think Wordle, but instead of guessing random five-letter words, you’re stepping into the vocabulary of indie music and the creative ecosystem around it.
Every day, there’s a new word waiting for you.
You get six attempts to find it. The length changes. The first letter is given to you. And with every guess, you get a little closer to the answer.
No algorithms trying to sell you something.
No ads.
No endless scrolling.
Just you, a word, and that slightly ridiculous feeling of “I KNOW THIS ONE… WHY CAN’T I REMEMBER IT?”

But Soundcheck isn’t just about winning. Every word comes with a story.
Because behind every strange piece of indie vocabulary, there’s usually something worth discovering. A sound, a movement, a creative idea, a little piece of music history, or simply something that makes you think: “Oh. I didn’t know that.”
And if you don’t want to forget your daily dose of indie, you can also subscribe by email.
Every day at 7:45 Brussels time, you’ll receive a little reminder with a link to the day’s Soundcheck, plus the story behind yesterday’s word.
One email. One word.
Nothing else.
You can unsubscribe whenever you want.

So go on.
Challenge yourself.
Challenge your indie friends.
Share your grid.
Start a streak.
And maybe discover that your indie knowledge is either much better than you thought…
…or that you’ve been confidently guessing completely made-up words for six days straight.
Either way, Soundcheck is waiting.
See you tomorrow.
Bring your ears. Bring your brain.
And don’t cheat. 😉
