NoForks’ Punk Spirit and Generosity

NoForks is making waves this December. Not only are they performing at the Punk In The Corn Music Festival and co-hosting the E:W:L Indie Review Show on December 14, 2024, alongside Johnny Hopkins, but they’re also turning their music into a force for good. By donating 100% of their merch profits to the Best Friends Animal Society, NoForks is showing how punk can give back in powerful ways.

This initiative echoes other inspiring actions in the indie community. Take BROOMFILLER’s 5th annual Punk Rock Christmas Cover, which donates all proceeds to Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital in honor of Sarah Hamby, a brave 16-year-old battling leukemia for the seventh time. Or RedPrint’s heartfelt GoFundMe campaign for Lisa’s wheelchair-accessible vehicule. I talked about these initiatives in previous Mitxoda Weeklies 🔥

NoForks embodies this same indie ethos, using their platform to amplify meaningful causes. Check out their band page, support their merch campaign, and join the movement. Together, we prove that indie music is about more than sound.

It’s about heart.

PS: Last week, we spotlighted Broomfiller’s ‘Deck the Halls’ fundraiser. Richard of Broomfiller reminded me to also highlight Blinker the Star, the other fantastic band involved in this collaboration. Kudos to all of them for their meaningful work!
