Episode 65: Growing Older, Still Turning the Volume Up

Some birthdays deserve a proper announcement.

Mine is this Sunday, and I had planned to tell you during the show… but once again, technology had other ideas. The little gremlins came back for a visit. Nothing dramatic, just enough to remind me that live radio always has its own personality.

Still, the most important thing survived: the music.

My children once again found their way into the opening moments, which always makes the show feel a little more like home. I also wanted to revisit the song that started this whole musical adventure for me: Echo Plastique. Hearing it again today reminds me how far this journey has taken me.

You’ll also find my latest collaboration with Neon Vampire, And Now, sitting comfortably alongside artists from every corner of the indie world.

The show begins with a beautiful long piano piece, inviting you to slow down before wandering through a collection of instrumental gems. Ian from The Sanctity of Crows delivers another captivating moment, while Messphodil returns with a wonderful new track. And once again, Argentina is beautifully represented thanks to the stunning contribution of Claudio Fondo.

So yes… technically, this wasn’t my smoothest broadcast.

Musically?

I think your ears will forgive everything else.

Apparently I’m getting older… at least that’s what people keep telling me. If growing older means discovering more incredible independent artists every week and sharing them with all of you, I’ll happily accept another birthday.

Thank you for continuing to make this little indie salon feel like home.

See you next Friday.
Love.
