SPA, Je Te Hais

The Sound of an Invisible War

Some battles don’t leave scars on the skin. They carve their marks deeper,  in silence, in joints, in exhaustion that words fail to capture. That’s where SPA, I Hate You was born.

This track is not a metaphor. It’s real. Brutally real.
SPA stands for Spondylarthrite ankylosante, or ankylosing spondylitis in English,  a chronic inflammatory disease that I’ve been living with for years. And “I hate you” is exactly how I feel about it.

Behind the Acronym: A Daily Struggle

When you live with an invisible illness, people don’t see your pain. They see you smile, stand, walk, but they don’t see the nights where every movement hurts, or the mornings when your body refuses to obey. This is not just physical pain. It’s isolation. Frustration. A fight for recognition.

Through this song, I finally said out loud what I’ve whispered a thousand times in my head:
“I hate you.”
Not out of weakness. But because naming it was the first step in reclaiming some power.

A Cry That Resonates

SPA, I Hate You is part confession, part rebellion. It doesn’t seek pity. It demands space, space for all those fighting something invisible, something chronic, something misunderstood.

This song may sound dark, but it’s also a cry of resilience.
Each beat, each word carries not just the weight of suffering, but the strength of those who wake up and face another day with a body that betrays them.

Soundtrack of an Internal War

Musically, this track doesn’t hold back. It blends raw intensity with subtle fragility, mimicking the unpredictable waves of the disease. It’s harsh, yes, because the truth often is. But there’s beauty in that honesty.

This is not a single made for the charts. It’s a song made for those who never feel seen. If you know what it means to be in pain and still be told “you look fine,” then this one’s for you.
