Story Time: Mitxoda, part 4

In our journey through the Mitxoda catalog, we’ve arrived at La Vie File, a track that marked my first serious attempt at combining guitar and vocals, enriched with atmospheric keyboard layers. This song was written during a time when friendship, or the absence of it, felt especially raw to me. The lyrics reflect that struggle, capturing the bittersweet realization of growing apart from people who once meant everything.

La Vie File represents the idea that while life moves forward and relationships change, the memories and emotions tied to those connections remain. It’s a deeply personal song, one that taught me about letting go, even when it hurts.

But this song also reflects something deeper. In moments of loneliness and separation, it’s easy to fall into the trap of seeing others as the enemy, blaming, judging, and holding on to what went wrong. But through this experience, I realized that no one is truly an enemy. Both sides lose when we spend time in conflict. We lose the chance to reconnect, to understand what really lies beneath our words, our actions, and our misunderstandings.

Yes, it hurts. And sometimes the damage is too deep to repair. But both parties lose the opportunity to feel the real world behind every single communication path. La Vie File is a reminder that while we may grow apart, we don’t need to stay trapped in that feeling of loss and regret. Instead, we can learn to let go, not out of defeat, but as a way to find peace and move forward. Listen to it again, with lyrics, on Bandcamp here.
