Episode 60: Too Hot!

Some shows happen. Others feel like a celebration.

This 60th edition of Le Salon Indie de Mitxoda was definitely the second kind.

The heat was everywhere. Brussels was preparing for the music celebrations filling its streets, and all around the world musicians, listeners, dreamers and curious souls were gathering for the annual magic of music. What better moment to celebrate sixty consecutive episodes together?

Despite the soaring temperatures, the Salon remained open.

For this special edition, we began with a strong instrumental journey. No need for words when melodies can tell their own stories. World premieres arrived from different corners of the indie universe, bringing fresh sounds, unexpected turns, and those little moments of wonder that make independent music so rewarding to explore.

Then, slowly, the atmosphere shifted.

The second half embraced the warmth of the Blues. Not the predictable kind. The kind that carries stories, character, imperfections, and soul. More unique tracks, more discoveries, more reasons to sit back and let the music do what it does best: connect complete strangers through a shared emotion.

Sixty episodes later, I am still amazed by what happens every week.

Artists continue to trust this little Salon with their songs. New friendships emerge. New countries appear on the musical map. New voices surprise us when we least expect them.

And every Friday, for a couple of hours, we build something together.

No algorithms deciding what should come next.

Just people, music, and curiosity.

Thank you for being part of this adventure.

The tea was probably too hot.
The weather certainly was.
But the music was perfect.
